Veggie Burgers

I’ve still been cooking and taking photos, just haven’t been up to posting about everything.  I hope to get back into the swing of things.  Tonight we had…veggie burgers with bacon!  I know, sort of an oxymoron.  I wanted to use up the bacon (from BLT’s with fresh tomatoes) and I had veggie burgers, so why not.  The veggie burgers were Morningstar Farms Mushroom Lovers Burgers.  I added sauteed onions and pepper, homemade pickles, homegrown tomatoes, and lettuce.  I liked the burger patty because it wasn’t trying to be pretend meat.


Last week I tried Amy’s California Veggie Burgers.  I’ve always seen such positive reviews about Amy’s veggie burgers, so I was kind of disappointed with it.  I think it was the texture.  I did read someone’s review somewhere that their least favorite was the California burger.  I might give Amy’s one more try with a different variety.
